Samsung has announced a wide version of the Model L73 digicam. The Model L74 camera is equipped with a 3.6x optical zoom and 28mm wide-angle lens ideal for travel photography. Among the impressive set of features are 450MB of internal memory, MPEG-4 SVGA video recording and a 3.0″ Touch Screen LCD.

Samsung’s ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) function allows the user to take clear pictures at high sensitivity/shutter speed and low sensitivity at the same time without using the flash. ISO 1600 high-sensitivity capability prevents blur resulting from camera shake or movement of the subject.

The L74 Wide includes Samsung's Face Recognition AF and AE, which detects the subject's face, automatically adjusts auto focus and auto exposure to ensure better composition and image quality in portraits, and other shots featuring people. The L74 Wide is also equipped with a Tour Guide function which provides travel information covering 2,600 regions in 30 countries.

The L74 Wide will have a price of $349.99 (US MSRP) and will be available later in the first half of 2007.
