Samsung’s NV series of digicams launched last July are immediately recognizable by their highly attractive and sleek bodies in brushed black or silver (new), stainless steel and a trademark Samsung blue ring located around the lens of each model. This premium line was developed after two years of extensive market research. The NV series features the latest in Samsung digital imaging technology as well as personal media player functions and built-in speakers. Yes, you can even listen to music while taking photos.

This camera measures a mere 3.7 x 2.2 x 0.7 inches with a 2.5-inch high-resolution LCD display. For outstanding image quality, the NV3 integrates a 3x optical zoom (equivalent to 38-114mm in 35mm format) capability with Samsung’s exclusive SHD lens technology.

Samsung’s state-of-the-art Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) technology is used to compensate for hand shake and ensure sharp images. The ASR function provides enhanced image clarity by electronically compensating for excess hand shake and improving color in environments lacking sufficient lighting where the use of the flash is not desirable.

In addition to the new silver color, there is a special NV3 OPL edition coated with Oriental Plant Lacquer and a pattern which ‘reinforces the individuality and style that the NV series offers the consumer’.
