Sanyo Xacti HD800 - Light-weight HD Camcorder

Sanyo has announced the Xacti DMX-HD800, a replacement for last year’s popular Xacti DMX-HD700. The new HD800 has the same compact size as its predecessor, but Sanyo expects improved image quality due to the new three-dimensional digital noise reduction filter and a switch from a 7.38MP CCD sensor to the 8MP CMOS sensor.

The HD800 comes equipped with the same built-in flash. Improved face detection is able to detect up to 12 faces in both videos and stills. As with the HD700, both video and stills are recorded to a removable SD/SDHC memory card.
